  • Patient Care: Strive for excellence in patient care by optimizing pharmacotherapeutic outcomes, promoting best practices in pain, palliative care, and hospice and supporting quality of life as a basic right for all patients. 
  • Advocacy: Advocate for our specialty, profession, and our patients through legislation, public policy, and benevolence for pain, palliative care and hospice pharmacists and patients. 
  • Research: Foster research and dissemination of information related to science-based, patient-centered care and the pharmacist as an essential part of the transdisciplinary team. 
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Insist on equity, inclusion, and diversity in patient care, our specialty, and our profession. 
  • Collaboration: Support patient-centered transdisciplinary pain, palliative care and hospice teams with the pharmacist as an integral member. 
  • Education, Leadership and Mentorship: Provide training, education, and mentorship to advance pain, palliative and hospice care pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as experts and leaders
